EUROGITES

European Federation of Farm- and Village TourismEurogites

The European Federation of Farm and Village Tourism (EuroGites) is formed by 35 professional and trade organisations from 28 countries of geographical Europe. It represents farm tourism sector in Europe with an estimate of 400.000 establishments and about 3,6 million bed places. The product goes from the rural Bed&Breakfast and selfcatering in private homes or farms, up to small family-run rural hotels and guesthouses. As a whole, the sector generates about 15% of the European tourism turnover.

At the level of the European Union, EuroGites represents rural tourism in the Advisory Group on Rural Development (Vicepresidency) and the TSG-Tourism Sustainability Group.
For common promotion, access to the member websites is linked through the site www.eurogites.org where you can find European wide countryside tourism accommodations providing quality guarantee through compliance with the Eurogites minimum standards.
